Draft — last updated July 8, 2026. These terms are provisional while SailStream is in early access and will be replaced by reviewed terms before general availability.
SailStream provides GPS tracking hardware and software for coached sailing practice: trackers on boats, a shore base station, and this dashboard for live viewing and replay.
A team (organization) is managed by its admins, who control who joins, each member's role, and what is shared. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials private.
SailStream records boat positions (GPS), speed, and heading during practice sessions, and stores them for replay and analysis. Position data belongs to your team; admins can delete sessions at any time. Live positions are private to the team unless a coach explicitly shares a public link, which anyone holding the link can view while sharing is on.
Many sailing programs coach minors. The team operating SailStream — not SailStream itself — is responsible for obtaining any consent (parental or otherwise) required to track its participants, and for using public sharing appropriately. Public streams show boat numbers and positions only; no names, contact details, or health data.
Don't use SailStream to track people without their knowledge or consent, probe other teams' data, or interfere with the service.
SailStream is provided "as is", without warranty. It is a coaching aid — never rely on it for safety-of-life, rescue, or navigation decisions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service.
Questions about these terms or your data: contact your team admin, or the operator at the address on your invoice.
